Amy Guggenheim

Director

Writer/Director, 2022 Recipient of The New York State Council on the Arts Film/Video Production Grant, she’s in development with two projects; her third short film “Blindsight”, and the dramatic feature “When Night Turns To Day”, set in New York and Tokyo. Her film work has appeared at Anthology Film Archives in NYC, The Georges Pompidou Center, France, and Sao Paulo Museum of Modern Art, Brasil. The feature script for WNTD won a WildSound Screenplay Award and placed as a semi-finalist in The Screencraft Film Competition. Called 'haunting', 'adventurously imaginative' and 'visceral, poetic', her work has been presented at festivals and other venues in The U.S., Latin America, Europe, and Asia, such as La Mama, Nottingham, and Havana International Festivals, etc. with support from Fulbright, Asian Cultural Council, The American Embassy, and others.


Ye (Claude) Chen

VISUAL Art Director

As an MFA Communication Design graduate with distinction from Pratt Institute, a self-starter in motion design, and an award-winning artist with a dedicated heart in film & TV, Ye is stepping in to help make Blindsight a feature film that the industry is longing for. Immersed in a world of boundless imagination, Ye Chen possesses an unrivaled ability to fuse innovation and artistry, breathing life into captivating animations and narrative-driven visual experiences. From awe-inspiring visuals to mesmerizing storytelling, his creations transport audiences into ethereal realms. With experiences working on motion design with IBM, Microsoft, and other well known international brands, Ye is utilizing industry-leading skills to take on the art direction and motion design of Blindsight.


Daniel Berlin

Producer

Dan Berlin is an enterprising entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, and endurance athlete who happens to be blind. He believes in creating opportunity and giving back around the globe. Dan gradually lost his eyesight from cone-rod dystrophy. He was diagnosed at 7 years old and became legally blind in his late 20s. Dan is a co-founder and President of Team See Possibilities, a non-profit organization which empowers young people with vision loss to thrive by providing scholarship and mentorship to high achieving college students who are vision impaired. His passion is finding and uplifting ability in himself and others.


Lisa Gutkin

Song Composer

Grammy Award winning violinist, singer, actor, and composer is best known as a member of the acclaimed Klezmatics, and most recently for her musical score, performance, and music direction in the Two Time Tony award-winner,  “Indecent” By Paula Vogel.


Joel Snyder 

Audio Describer

Dr. Joel Snyder is known internationally as one of the world’s first “audio describers,” a pioneer in the field of Audio Description, a translation of visual images to vivid language for the benefit, primarily, of people who are blind or have a vision impairment. Since 1981, he has introduced audio description techniques in over 40 states and 64 countries and has made thousands of live events, media projects and museums accessible. Dr. Snyder is the President of Audio Description Associates, LLC (www.audiodescribe.com) and he serves as the Founder/Senior Consultant of the Audio Description Project of the American Council of the Blind.
